Father John Misty Streams New Album On ‘SAP’ Music Streaming Service | Music News

Do we need another reason to love Father John Misty aka Josh Tillman from Fleet Foxes? I didn’t think so but man, has he given us some more ammo. Three days ago, Tillman founded an online streaming service called SAP, which is seemingly a Spotify rival. On the site, he provides a lo-fi (although pretty crummy) version of his upcoming album I Love You, Honeybear, out on February 10.

Furthering this little marketing campaign, badass Tillman visited the NYC Spotify headquarters on the 27th of January to give a spontaneous karaoke-style performance of two of his singles “I Love You, Honeybear” and “Bored in the USA”, off the new record. This may be only a way to promote his new album but the SAP website seems pretty thorough and I, for one, am interested in seeing how this unfolds, even if it’s just to build the anticipation over the next few weeks before the LP comes out.
