Father John Misty – The Night Josh Tillman Came To Our Apartment | Music Video

Father John Misty

After releasing a teaser a few days ago, Father John  Misty, a.k.a Josh Tillman, has now shared the full version of the video for his track “The Night Josh Tillman Came To Our Apartment”. The track is taken from Father John Misty’s most recent album I love You, Honeybear which was released in February of this year via Sub Pop.

The video, directed by Drew Pearce, features Tillman picking up a version of himself in a bar and taking the double back to enjoy some light debauchery in his apartment. The visuals provide an interesting new angle from which to view Tillman’s vitriolic, brutally honest lyrics and may paint the song in a new light for some.

Tillman has said of the clip: “This video is partially inspired by the LeBron James quote “It is precisely the superficial differences between people who are otherwise alike that inform the hostilities between them”.  Special thanks to my body double Tyler who I had to kiss no fewer than two dozen times and whose breath I can still smell in my mind’s eye.”
