Actress Fay Ripley admits that she previously wanted to leave the show Cold Feet. Ripley, who played Jenny Gifford in the comedy-drama, said on Loose Women that she had asked to be written out. “I did! What a fool“, she explained. “But [back then] I went off and made some other TV shows, I had fallen in love and I wanted to get married and have children, and I did that…“.

She added: “[I] came back eight and a half months pregnant in the last episode of ‘Cold Feet’ – and that’s another episode of ‘Cold Feet’ I don’t want to watch! And I had set up my life really“. There is some speculation that Ripley could potentially be back for a new series which will appear on our screens in 2016.

The comedy-drama followed the lives of three couples going through the highs and lows of romance and friendship. Cold Feet was a ratings hit for ITV during its four and a half years on air between November 1998 and March 2003.
