Female Centric ‘League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen’ Reboot In The Works | Film News
Unfortunately for fans, the first appearance of The League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen starring Sean Connery was a massive fail, not being received well by fans or critics alike. Surprisingly earlier in May, it was announced that plans were in the works to reboot the failed series, centered around a team of Victorian characters trying to save the world including Mr. Hyde and The Invisible Man.
Producer John Davis revealed that he understood that the first attempt on the big screen wasn’t well received and that this reboot would “take it to its roots” and be “more authentic“. He also revealed the project would be female centric stating he enjoyed their point of view taking inspiration from Charlize Theron‘s character in this year’s Mad Max: Fury Road. No official release date has been set for the reboot.
