First Look At All-Female ‘Ghostbusters’ As Filming Begins | Film News

Shooting has begun, and the all-female re-boot of Ghostbusters is in full swing. Entertainment Tonight premiered a first look into what is happening at the Boston shoot in last night’s broadcast – and here we are able to get a grip on what we can expect from the controversial picture. From the look of the images we are shown, it seems that the film will send us back to the 80s in true Ghostbusters style.

Kristen Wiig, the face of the new female cast, is shown to be wearing a very outdated costume, complete with tweed-styled jacket and skirt. This comes as the first piece of news since Paul Feig tweeted on the first day of filming, including a picture of himself holding the iconic green slime that ghosts emit in the original films.

So whether you’re excited for the film, or dreading its release, it is coming – full steam ahead. Kristen Wiig is joined by Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon and Cecily Strong as the ghost-capturing foursome, joined by Leslie Jones and Chris Hemsworth. Ghostbusters is set for a summer 2016 release.
