It’s been a big week for Foals. Since releasing What Went Down on August 28, they have since performed an explosive six-track secret set at Reading Festival, and now it appears as though, they are set to grab themselves their first ever UK number 1 album, if the midweek album chart is anything to go by.

Of their three previous albums, their debut Antidotes came in at a respectable number 3 in 2008, and Total Life Forever reached the number 8 slot back in 2010 with Holy Fire reaching number 2 but the band had yet to secure the number one slot until now. However Foal’s good luck has not been consistent this week as the band had to pull out of a Radio 1 Live Lounge session this morning (September 2) due to singer Yannis Philippakis experiencing troubles with his voice. The band recently announced an extensive tour of the UK which has now sold out.

Foals November 2015 UK tour dates:

November 5 – Rock City, Nottingham
November 6 – Liverpool Olympia, Liverpool
November 7 – UEA, Norwich
November 8 – Cardiff University Great Hall, Cardiff
November 10 – Music Hall, Aberdeen
November 11 – O2 Academy, Newcastle
November 13 – O2 Guildhall, Southampton
November 14 – Dreamland ‘By The Sea’, Margate
November 15 – Anson Rooms, Bristol
November 16 – Corn Exchange, Cambridge
