Foo Fighters ‘Rick Roll’ Westbro Baptist Church | Music News

 

What’s the most appropriate response to a group holding signs like ‘God H8s Fags’ outside of a venue that you’re scheduled to perform at? According to the Foo Fighters, it’s slowly driving past in a truck blasting Rick Astley’s “Never Gonna Give You Up”, a song long-favoured by Internet-users to mess with one another, whilst holding the signs ‘You got Rickroll’d (again)’ and ‘Keep It Clean’.

 

This is not the first time that The Foos have used humour to combat the Westbro Baptist Church’s hate, and the ‘Keep It Clean’ sign was more than likely a reference to the last encounter. The entertaining incident occurred after the Church gathered outside of the Spirit Center in Kansas City on August 21. Watch the video below.
