‘Four Weddings And A Funeral’ Series Being Developed At Hulu | TV News

Four Weddings and a Funeral became an unexpected hit when it premiered in 1994; the highest-grossing British film in cinema history at the time, and commended with a number of Academy Award nominations and BAFTA and Golden Globe wins, the film has come to be known as among the greatest films in British cinema.

Hulu is looking to get in on the success that launched Hugh Grant‘s career as the all-mighty British stammerer, by developing a series based on Four Weddings and a Funeral.

Mindy Kaling and fellow Mindy Project pal Matt Warburton have been employed to write and executive-produce the series, which is set to be an anthology made up of 1 hour episodes following a group of friends and their matrimonial adventures.

Richard Curtis, who wrote the original film as well as British masterpieces Notting Hill, Bridget Jones’s Diary, and Love Actually, will act as an executive producer on the prospective series.
