Fox Confirms ’24: Legacy’ Series | TV News

Fox has confirmed that 24: Legacy has been given the green light, picking up the revival of the classic series for the 2016-7 season. The series will retain the format of the original, however it won’t star Kiefer Sutherland as the iconic character Jack Bauer.

 

Instead, the show will begin with a new cast, The Walking Dead’s Corey Hawkins, Homeland star Miranda Otto, and Sons of Anarchy’s Jimmy Smits are all set to star in the series. The show will follow military veteran Eric – played by Hawkins – upon his return to the USA and the trouble that follows him. In desperation he turns to CTU for help, inadvertently helping in stop a major terrorist attack on America.

 

Teedy Sears, Dan Bucatinsky, Anna Diop, Ashley Thomas, and Sheila Vand are also amongst those cast in the series.
