Fox Confirms ‘Prison Break’ Reboot Starring Wentworth Miller | TV News

Prison Break was first aired in 2005 and finished in 2009 in its fourth season. Fans of the show will now be happy to know that the Scofield brothers will be making another appearance in the official reboot season. Both Dominic Purcell and Wentworth Miller will be appearing in the reboot, however some may be confused as to how, as Miller’s character died at the end of the last season. Other actors from the previous seasons have also been confirmed to return, when the show hits screen again.

The final episode was a TV movie named The Final Break, however Fox chairman and CEO Gary Newman has suggested that the writer (Paul Scheuring) might use some dramatic license to explain the sudden reappearance of a supposedly dead character. The other Fox chairman and CEO, Dana Walden, recently spoke at the Television Critics Association’s semi-annual press tour about the reboot.

Walden said, “I would describe it as a bit of a sequel, it picks up the characters several years after we left them in the last season of the show. The brothers will be back. Some of the iconic characters from that show will be back. It definitely will address some questions that were set up at the end of the series and for a new audience. It’ll start after where we left the Scofields in the final season“. I wonder how the season will pan out, watch season 1-4 of Prison Break on Netflix now!!
