We haven’t seen much of Frank Ocean since his 2012 album, Channel Orange. He deleted his Twitter and Instagram accounts, and the last we heard from him was a self-released snippet called “Memrise”. His new, soulful cover song, shared via Tumblr, is in tribute of the late Aaliyah who would have been 36 yesterday. “At Your Best (You Are Love)” was originally performed by the Isley Brothers, but was also covered by Aaliyah herself in 1996. Her version was sampled on Drake’s “Unforgettable” from his debut album. Hopefully we will be hearing more from Frank Ocean this year. Stream the track below.
