Freddie Joachim is back once again with another belter as he dropped his latest track, “Laying Here”, on Soundcloud earlier this morning. Emerging from humble beginnings selling beat tapes to buddies, the Filipino producer began honing his craft in the 90s as a DJ before drifting into the production side of things.
And now, after taking a short break from his instrumental series in 2012 to bring us his fourth full-length, Fiberglass Kisses, it appears from his most recent releases that he is raring for its return. Neatly combining the blissful sound of burnished brass and an easy-riding R&B beat, Joachim delivers us an uplifting instrumental that’s ideal for a barbecue on a balmy afternoon.
