Emmy’s, Academy Awards – HBO’s Game of Thrones has a shelf of trophies so long its running out of walls space. However it may need to be extended again with the most recent award the series has garnered, being crowned the most popular show on Twitter, beating The Walking Dead over the course of last year.
In total, Game of Thrones had 16,463,944 posts compared to The Walking Dead’s 12,125, 715. In third place came Empire with 21.6 million. Netflix’s hottest show House of Cards came in with a close 1.65 million but was toppled by the legendary Mary Berry, BBC’s The Great British Bake Off having 1.76 million posts.
