The premiere of Game of Thrones season six has been crowned the most watched entertainment programme of all time according to Sky, who celebrated the win due to the consolidated audience of 5 million viewers the show enjoyed over the course of the episode.
It bettered the already staggering record of the season five finale, which garnered an audience of 3.7 million viewers, the new series openining on 2.2 million before rising to 3.8 when you include those who recorded it on sky. Add another million who watched over their ipad or iphhone and you have the winner according to sky.
