Girlpool – Blah Blah Blah | Music Video

Two piece Punk, Indie, Garage Rock band Girlpool have crawled out of LA’s underground scene with a self-titled Debut EP. The band which is made up of Harmony Tividad and Cleo Tucker have caused a stir in the music world with their bare, low-fi, guitar and bass music. Girlpool create a ‘cut the crap’ kind of music, unapologetically screaming, shouting and sort-of singing about punching men in the face. The girls celebrate sexuality and have gained a lot of respect for their honest lyric writing and carefree approach to music creation. Their bare, honest approach is central to the band; no drummer, simple production and frank, sincere lyric writing.  Girlpool have let free a new video to go along with the release of their new EP which has been directed by Sini Anderson (director of the Kathleen Hanna documentary, The Punk Singer). Their self-titled debut EP is out today (18/11/14) on Wichita recordings, and can be purchased here.

Jake Garrett, 22 from the West Midlands. I graduated from Falmouth University in 2014 with a 2.1 in BA (Hons) Journalism. Currently I am based in sunny Spain, writing in the day, working of an evening and partying in the night. I’m an avid reader of fantasy novels, constant explorer of the world in which we live and passionate music enthusiast. Son of two ex-punk rockers, I grew up within the mid-2000’s indie uprising but now dwell within a sea of house music.
