‘Godzilla’ Sequel Adds Kyle Chandler To Cast | Film News
Godzilla: King Of Monsters was a hit, but got a bit of flack for its poor development of its human characters. They’re looking to help change that by adding one of the great father figures of TV of the last decade to their cast.
Kyle Chandler has been cast in the film, and will play the father of Stranger Things‘ Millie Bobby Brown.
Chandler has excelled in similar roles on TV shows such as Friday Night Lights and Bloodline, the third season of which he’ll wrap up before commencing shooting here, while he’s also been involved in a number of successful prestige pictures recently, such as The Wolf Of Wall Street and Manchester By The Sea.
The folks behind Godzilla: King Of Monsters will be hoping that those successes are not just coincidences.
Krampus director, Michael Dougherty, is set to helm the sequel. No plot is currently known but production should begin later this year.
