Gregory Porter Wins Jazz FM ‘International Jazz Artist Of The Year’ Award | Music News

Gregory Porter has won the Jazz FM ‘International Jazz Artist of the Year’ award, leading the way ahead of solid competition this year, which included seriously brilliant nominees such as Antonio Sanchez and fusion-band Snarky Puppy. This is Porter’s second Jazz FM award, after winning ‘Live UK Show Of the Year’ in 2013. About his new award win, Porter said, “thank you Jazz FM for honouring me with the award of International Jazz Artist of the Year, it’s been an incredible journey! You’re very much responsible for my success in the UK and around the world. So many places I go, they tell me ‘I heard you on Jazz FM’ so thank you, thank you, thank you“. Catch this “star burning really bright” at Glastonbury on Saturday, June 27, where he’ll play the West Holts stage from 5pm – 6pm.
