Greta Gerwig Plans To Make Directorial Debut With ‘Lady Bird’ | Film News

Ahead of the release of her much hyped new movie Mistress America, another collaboration with director and real-life partner Noah Baumbach, Greta Gerwig has confirmed that she is planning to shoot her very own directorial debut in March 2016. Details about the movie, reportedly called Lady Bird, are few and far between, with the only plot details revealed so far being that the film is about a woman who chronicles her last year living in Sacramento before moving away. Gerwig is already prolific as a writer and producer, having scripted eight features since 2008 – two of which were her most recent collaborations with Baumbach, which also includes 2012’s critically adored twee-fest Frances Ha. Mistress America is released in the UK and US this Friday.
