Guillermo Del Toro has caught Arya Stark fever like the rest of us Game of Thrones fans, and he’s not willing to sit still about it. Yes, it seems that Games of Thrones star Maisie Williams, could be getting her very own Jaeger in the Pacific Rim Sequel, according to Guillermo’s twitter, that is. The Pacific Rim director tweeted that whilst meeting with her for lunch, he had found her to be remarkable, and if Pacific Rim 2 happened, she’d be getting a Jaeger!
The eighteen year old actress will be guest starring in the upcoming ninth series of Doctor Who, and has also spoken on her filming experience for Carol Morley’s drama – ‘The Falling’ – where she plays a character that differs quite vastly to that of Arya from Game of Thrones. However, whilst Pacific Rim 2 would be an amazing addition to her list, there has been no confirmation from Universal or Legendary Pictures on whether it is actually happening (hence the daunting ‘If’ in Del Toro’s tweet). Nonetheless, the director has insisted that the film is not completely gone, which leaves a little hope for a sequel and, equally, hope for Maisie’s Jaeger!
