Headline Acts For 2016 Glastonbury Festival Already Booked | Music News

This year’s Glastonbury festival hasn’t even started yet but organizer Emily Eavis has already booked the headline acts for 2016. Eavis has said that the big names are booked now for next year, before the sell out festival takes a year off in 2017. “We’ve got three headliners for next year, so that’s completely sorted, we’re in a really good position in that respect because it means we can now focus on the rest of the bill“, Eavis said.

Eavis also added that, “every year the bands that are touring are completely different, so you never know quite who’s going to be around, it might be some years it’s heavier in one way, and some is lighter in the other. This year I think it’s an incredibly diverse lineup. We just try to make sure that if there’s two bands of a similar nature, that they’re not playing at exactly the same time“. Emily Eavis has always had a difficult job of pleasing everyone, but despite the Foo Fighters having to cancel this year’s festival, everyone seems really excited for next weekend. Getting tickets early for next year is definitely a must!
