‘Hip-Hop Honors’ Back And Will Now Acknowledge Women In Rap | Music News
VH1 has decided to bring back their Hip-Hop Honors show after six years away to focus on women that are “trailblazers and trend-setters” in the genre. The special has previously acknowledged the likes of 2Pac, Run-DMC, Public Enemy and A Tribe Called Quest.
Now, though, they feel it is time to acknowledge all the women holding their own weight lately, during the live special that will air from New York City on Monday, July 11. You daresay this could feature the likes of Nicki Minaj and Iggy Azalea. Looking further back, maybe the likes of Lil’ Kim and Foxy Brown will feature, too.
