H&M has joined forces with artist M.I.A. for its latest recycling venture. They are aiming to collect over 1000 tonnes of recycled garments from all 3,600 stores during world recycle week, April 18 – April 24, 2016. H&M are renowned for garment collecting, as since 2013 H&M have been inviting customers to bring in bags of unwanted or worn out clothes from anywhere in return for H&M vouchers.

This to ensure less garments are being thrown into landfill sites. H&M’s vision for sustainable fashion includes steps to close the loop in fashion ensuring unwanted textiles and fabrics can be reused to make fresh new textile fibres for new products.
