HMV To Bring Vinyl Back For ‘The Masses’ | Music News
Representatives for British music retailers HMV (His Master’s Voice) have stated that they want to invest in vinyl records as a priority. This news follows the company’s descent into administration after accruing £170 million of debt before being saved by Hilco. Vinyl has seen a massive resurgence in the past few years after the rise of digital music and, originally, HMV was seen to be removing vinyl from their stores to save space. This new policy is a response to 2014 being the best year for vinyl sales since 1996.
