It has been reported that Hannibal star Hugh Dancy has joined the cast of Fifty Shades Darker, the sequel to E.L. James’ Fifty Shades of Grey.

 

Dancy, known for playing Will Graham acclaimed series Hannibal, is taking on the role of a British psychiatrist, Dr. John Flynn, who will help Jamie Dornan‘s sexually-disturbed Christian Grey heal his fractured psyche.

 

Fifty Shades Darker sees Anastasia and Christian exploring new dimensions to their complex relationship as Christian’s ex-lovers start emerging to cause the not-so-happy, S&M-loving couple endless amounts of grief.

 

Returning to their roles as Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele respectively are Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson. Joining them, aside from Dancy, are Marcia Gay Harden, Luke Grimes, Max Martini, Tyler Hoechlin, and Bella Heathcote.

 

Fifty Shades Darker will be directed by James Foley and has a release date of February 10, 2017.
