Hugh Jackman Teases Sabretooth Return In Final ‘Wolverine’ Movie | Film News

Could we see the return of Sabretooth to Fox’s X-Men franchise? Well if the fans get their own way, then maybe ‘yes’. Appearing on The Daily Telegraph’s Sydney Confidential Podcast, Hugh Jackman asked the fans what they would like to see in the reportedly last Wolverine stand-alone movie.

Jackman highlighted a few which included a fan plea for the return of a mainstay in the Mutant franchise, Sabretooth. “There were a lot of calls for Victor Creed to come back“, the Wolverine actor teased, and who can blame them. With Creed proving a combative nemesis in both X-Men (2000) and Wolverine: Origins (2009), which revealed that the pair shared the same father, it seems only fitting for Logan’s brother to share in his last X-Men outing, which could include his death, if fan rumours come to fruition.

The Australian native also hinted at the appearance of ‘Berserker Rage’, a comic trope where Wolverine loses all sense of conviction and enters an uncontrollable state. If ‘Berserker Rage’ was to rear its ugly head, you better bet that the body count will be high and walls covered in blood. Jackman also mentioned that he was “quite heartened by a number of people saying ‘please don’t make it the last’, but look, I’m really excited about this last one“, an assertion that he has stood by, but has many fans in doubt, perhaps even denial.

With a rumoured appearance in X-Men: Apocalypse in 2016, we still have time to collect our emotions before we see Wolverine’s last appearance on screen when the film hits cinemas on March 3, 2017.
