Ibeyi Announce Debut Album To Be Released In February 2015 | Music News
French Cuban twins, Lisa-Kande and Naomi Diaz, are the musical talent that make Ibeyi, which means twins in Yoruba. In 2013, the pair signed to XL Recordings and today they have announced that their new self-titled debut album will be released on the 16th of February 2015 featuring thirteen tracks including new single “Mama Says”. The ladies have highlighted how this album will draw on experiences from their Yoruba father, plus modern influences thrown in to make for an interesting hybrid. In other news, the duo will be supporting the infamous Damon Albarn on the 12th of November in Paris as well as gracing the UK on the 14th of November to support Angelique Kidjo at the Royal Festival Hall in London.
