Ibrahim Maalouf – Red & Black Light (20syl Remix) | New Music

This is not the way you have to play trumpet“. You can say that again, as the experimental electronic artist 20syl offers his unique take on Ibrahim Maalouf‘s vastly different original neo-jazz number “Red & Black Light”. These two genres of different sides of the musical spectrum are brought together in harmoniousness fashion. The C2C man produces an eclectic sound, fulls of electronic bells and whistles, but similtaneously not distracting the listener from the incredible mesmerising trumpet sound which is paramount to the soul of the track. There a few artists out there who are brave enough, let alone talented enough to attempt a track like this, 20syl makes it seem easy.

A recent graduate with a BA in History. However, my passion lies in spreading the good word of music. Now I am all about the future, not what has happened in the past. From indie to electronic to chillwave to rap to folk, I love to write about all the up-and-coming gems of music as well as the legendary bands which have developed my love for music. Although it makes putting my music library on shuffle quite an undesirable experience. Feel free to follow me on twitter for more music related posts.
