Bristol’s post-punkers, IDLES, announce that they will be embarking on a massive 25 date Brutalism UK Tour in March and April of this year. Apt, really, as they utilise “the unsettling reality of the world we live in into their frantic assault on the senses, they are a band that can only be truly understood by witnessing in a live environment”.

What is more, a release in a studio environment, Brutalism, is due Friday, March 10. The October release of single, “Well Done”, has seen the band rise to the top of Spotify’s Viral Charts and is paired with intensive radio support from Huw Stephens, Annie Mac and Steve Lamacq.

I've always wanted to be involved in the media since before I even left school; to write for a living.I feel most eloquent when mapping out my thoughts on paper or on a computer screen.I studied media at college for two years, and went straight into third year at university studying publishing with journalism. After a range of work experience, I did a magazine journalism course in Bournemouth, a long way away from my hometown of Aberdeen, achieving my NCTJ qualifications. Now I spend my time gladly writing about music.
