‘I’m A Celebrity’ Receives Complaints Over Ferne McCann Eating A Live Spider | TV News
It seems that the public’s sympathy doesn’t reach to Witchetty Grubs and Cockroaches being eaten alive, but apparently a spider is too far. Talk about favouritism of animal cruelty! ITV’s final of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! has received more than 600 complaints over TOWIE’s Ferne McCann eating a live spider during one of their famous bushtucker trials. She was also faced with eating a lamb’s brain and a bull’s penis. Yum?…
Consequently, ITV is facing an investigation from broadcast watchdog Ofcom. I mean don’t get me wrong, my arachnophobia is of epic proportions but in my opinion the eating trials are cruel and just plain disgusting. Do you think animal cruelty is becoming an issue on I’m A Celebrity?
