North Carolina MC J. Cole has just launched a new mini series partnered with HBO, documenting the release of his critically acclaimed album 2014 Forest Hills Drive and his homecoming concert in Fayettville, North Carolina that saw appearances from Drake and Jay Z. With Last year being J. Cole’s most successful and important year so far, the documentary will be a great watch, and offer fans a closer look at the often enigmatic Cole. He broke his year long Instagram silence this week to share the release with his fans.

The first episode titled F**k Money, Spread Love explores Cole’s recording process and shows a private listening part Cole threw for a fan weeks before his album dropped. The mini series will eventually be made into a DVD, however these episode are going to drop every Wednesday on Vimeo via HBO, culminating in an hour and a half long special titled ‘Homecoming’ which will premiere on HBO on January 9, 2016. Peep the first episode below.
