Jack Daniel’s To Sell Limited-Edition Motörhead Whiskey | Music News

Lemmy

After Lemmy Kilmister passed away on December 28, a petition was started which asked to change name of a ‘Jack Daniel’s and Coke‘ cocktail to a ‘Lemmy’. Almost 45,000 signed the petition and, although Jack Daniel’s did not change the name, they created a limited-edition Motörhead whiskey, to honour the band’s frontman.

According to a description leaked on the Internet, the first barrel is limited to 288 bottles of a selected whiskey that is “dark, oaky, but still some corn and sweetness with that signature Jack smooth charcoal smoky finish”. Lemmy, who died after a really short battle with cancer, was known to be a huge fan of whiskey and coke, although last summer he said he had to switch to vodka and orange juice for “health reasons“.
