American cinema in the past 50 or more years has always owed a huge debt to great American writers for the content they have helped create for the silver screen. One of those great American writers is John Steinbeck whom has previously embraced the silver screen in the past on four separate occasions thus far. All four Steinbeck novels such as The Grapes of Wrath, Of Mice and Men, Viva Zapata! and East of Eden have already been made into successful feature films with iconic director Elia Kazan responsible for at least two of those films.

However it seems a fifth adaptation of a Steinbeck novel is already scheduled to add itself to such an impressive collection. Hollywood heartthrob James Franco was later confirmed by AMBI Pictures to direct and star in In Dubious Battle alongside a supporting cast which included a mixture of senior and emerging talent such as Robert Duvall, Ed Harris, Bryan Cranston, Vincent D’Onofrio, Zach Braff, Selena Gomez, Nat Wolff, Josh Hutcherson and Ashley Greene. The principle photography for In Dubious Battle began on March 19, 2015 in Atlanta and continued in Bostwick Georgia before finally commencing on April 2015. In Dubious Battle is currently in post production and is to announce its release date soon which will most likely be sometime next year.
