James Martin Emotionally Bids Farewell To ‘Saturday Kitchen’ In Final Show | TV News
When I was revising for my GCSE’s, a weekend staple for me was Saturday Kitchen, hosted by chef James Martin, watching the show before I began my revision. The host yesterday hung up his apron for the very last time, emotionally thanking viewers and the BBC for supporting him during his decade at the shows helm.
“It’s been a day I have been dreading,” Martin said. “But the thought of never having to taste a runny omelette again live on TV and setting the alarm at four o’clock in the morning does cheer me up a little.”
The show will now be hosted by a string of celebrity chefs following Martins departure.
