Jessica Brown Findlay To Join Jack Huston In ‘The Crow’ Remake | Film News

It’s just become official that Broadwalk Empire star Jack Huston has been officially cast as resurrected goth Eric in The Crow remake and now it seems his leading lady has been selected also. According to James O’Barr, the creator of the original graphic novel, Downton Abbey starlet Jessica Brown Findlay will be joining Huston as Shelly, Eric’s girlfriend.

When O’Barr spoke to Lexington Comic and Toy Convention, he apparently dropped the news about Findlay’s involvement and confirmed that she’s been the number one choice since the beginning of pre-production. While nothing’s been official signed, it’s apparently a done deal. If you haven’t seen the beautiful actress in Downton Abbey, you might recognize her from the likes of The Riot Club, Winters Tale or BBC’s Robin Hood.

Despite the surprisingly impressive casting with the flick so far, with O’Barr boasting a mostly British cast and an actor from Game of Thrones apparently wanting to be involved, I still have little faith that this film will actually be worth all the fuss and effort. I’d like to be proven wrong though! With the film scheduled to begin in the next couple of months, keep your eye peeled for more details.
