Jhené Aiko Reveals Possible John Mayer Feature For New Project | Music News
Jhené Aiko maybe had time to enjoy some acclaim for the Twenty88 release, but the songstress has revealed more about her next solo project.
Making sure to give her upcoming release the word “project” rather than “just an album”, Jhené clearly sees it as much more; particularly as it is very personal and has already been three years in the making.
“Yeah, that’s why I just want to call it a project. An experience. I would say, it’s definitely bigger than anything I’ve ever done”.
As much as Jhené fans enjoyed the collaborative Twenty88 album with Big Sean, her solo project is well overdue, following the 2014 release of Souled Out. Though the wait continues, there is talk of working with John Mayer and short films even thought to be included in the project release.
“I feel like writing and acting and just expressing myself have always been things that I wanted to develop as an artist, so what I’ve been working on pretty much involves everything that I feel is my passion, rolled into one”.
