Hotly tipped singer songwriter and producer, Joel Baker treats us to a double whammy for New Music Friday with the release of his brand new single “Worry About Me“. A reworking of The Roots & Erykah Badu classic of the same name, this latest take features a guest appearance from renowned UK rapper Sneakbo.
First on the list, we get treated to a fresh new artistic visual which was premiered exclusively on GRM Daily. In a gloomy attic which seems to never end is where we find Baker, looking rather poignant and pensive singing on the hardships of love. Sneakbo’s unexpected but well crafted cameo and dynamic on the track ties in everything together quite nicely.
Co-produced by Joel and Maths Time Joy, this is the lead track to be lifted from Joel ‘s forthcoming THE DREAMERS’ EP. Alongside the music video, Joel Baker has also dropped an ADP remix which adds new elements to the rework, complete with guest features from Sneakbo once more and rising MC Yung Fume. The EP also has another collaboration, with rising R&B chanteuse Mahalia so it will definitely be a must listen when it drops.
