John Frusciante, former guitarist of the American band Red Hot Chilli Peppers, has announced more electronic music will be released for Record Store Day (April 16).

Indeed, the guitarist will release a new EP intitled Foregrow via Acid Test and, according to a press release from the label, it will continue exploring the acid-house and footwork genres on which Frusciante has been focusing recently.

The EP will combine “elements of John Carpenter’s eternal scores, the drum programming DNA of jungle and footwork, and yes, a Roland TB-303,” which, in case you did not know, is a bass synth produced in the early 80s ( and Fatboy Slim’s first single’s subject). Expect some interesting developments!
