In 2013, the other founding member of The Smiths; Morrissey released his autobiography with popular publisher Penguin, selling just under 35,000 copies in its first week of release. Johnny Marr, has been asked since then, by fans and journalists when the time will come for him to do the same deed. He has happily announced that his experience of The Smiths, which let’s face it will be his book’s selling point, will be made public in the form of his own autobiography in 2016. This must be like having your birthday on Christmas day for those Smiths devotees, as two primary and unique versions about the experience of being in one of the most intriguing bands ever will be available to read.
