JoJo – Say Love | Music Video

JoJo Say Love

JoJo emphasises what’s missing from a relationship in her new music video for “Say Love”. According to the singer, the song is about a friend who said “I love you” first in a relationship. “She put herself out there and made herself vulnerable,” she revealed in an article with TIME. “He was saying all the other right things but was maybe afraid to say ‘I love you’ back.” This is mimicked with the lines, “When I say ‘love you’, you just say ‘me too’ / But I want you to say love”.

I’m sure that many of us can relate to that, if not to feeling vulnerable and exposed in general. The music video depicts JoJo at odds with someone who seems distant for most of the video. It seems to work out in the end though, just like the relationship that she is singing about. “Say Love” comes from JoJo’s EP III and can be purchased here. Watch the music video below.
