Jon Bernthal Joins Cast Of ‘Baby Driver’ | Film News
It has been announced that Edgar Wright has added one more member to the cast of his new comedy thriller Baby Driver in the shape of Jon Bernthal. Bernthal, who we can remember as Shane Walsh in The Walking Dead and who we will soon see as The Punisher in season 2 of Daredevil, is due to play a character named Griff, though nothing else is known at this time.
Edgar Wright, director of Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, is now turning his comedic talents to the crime genre. Baby Driver follows the story of Baby (Ansel Elgort), a talented, music-obsessed getaway driver for a rotating gang of bank robbers.
Hired by crime kingpin Doc (Kevin Spacey), Baby will work with Buddy (Jon Hamm), Doc’s squeeze Darling (Eliza González) and Bats (Jamie Foxx), but when a heist goes south, Baby will find himself and his innocent girlfriend Deborah (Lily James) in the sights of his old associates.
Written and directed by Wright, Baby Dirver is currently being filmed in Atlanta and will hit the big screens on March 17, 2017.
