Justin Timberlake is set to write and perform some of the songs of the upcoming animated film Trolls, while voicing one of the movie’s characters.
Talking to The Hollywood Reporter, Timberlake said “I have always envisioned bringing the two worlds of film and music together for one epic event [and] couldn’t be more excited that they will collide in DreamWorks’ Trolls. This film is very special, the music is going to be very special and I can’t wait for everyone to experience it all”.
The comedy, directed by Mike Mitchell, will also feature Anna Kendrick’s voice as a main character. Trolls marks Timberlake’s first movie since 2013’s Runner Runner and Inside Llewyn Davis.
Trolls is expected for release on November 4, 2016.
