Kanye West Abandons Pan Am Games Performance Due To Faulty Microphone | Music News

Kanye West has become infamous for his diva-like antics, the most recent of which involved him throwing his microphone angrily at the floor before storming off stage 13 minutes into his performance at Toronto’s Pan Am Games last night. Much like his recent Glastonbury headline appearance, a petition was started ahead of his Canadian performance and a 50,000-strong protesters lobbied against him playing at the event. While this pales in comparison to the 135,000 that fought his Glastonbury appearance, it is still a sign that a lot of people just don’t believe in him as a performer. Apparently they were right as after technical difficulties meant his microphone stopped working, the “Stronger” rapper threw it into the air and left the stage as the microphone crashed down behind him. Watch a video of the tantrum here.
