Kanye West Has ‘Very Big Plans’ For Glastonbury Headline Set | Music News

Glastonbury Festival organizer Emily Eavis has revealed that Kayne West has some “very big plans” for his headline set next weekend. He is due to perform on Saturday, June 27, while Florence + The Machine is headlining on Friday the 26th, and The Who headlining on Sunday, June 28. There was controversy when Kanye West for first announced as a headline act and it caused anger amongst some Glastonbury fans, a petition was started which gathered 134,000 signatures to replace Kanye West with a rock band.

Emily Eavis commented about the petition, “you’re always prepared because there’s always controversy with whatever you announce, you kind of know there’s going to be stuff, but yeah, there was obviously a lot. But y’know, that’s great and I think he’ll create an incredible show. What he’s talking about at the moment is very exciting”. Talking about how Kanye West is going to take the festival, Eavis said “I think he’s going to take it big. I can’t say anything – I can’t give anything away“.
