Kate Winslet To Play WWII Correspondent Lee Miller | Film News
Academy Award winner Kate Winslet has found her next big role in the upcoming and untitled Lee Miller biopic. Miller led a famed and illustrious life; starting out as a fashion model, she soon became an established photographer before becoming a war correspondent for Vogue during the Second World War.
The film documents Miller’s life as described in, her son, Antony Penrose‘s authorized biography, The Lives of Lee Miller. Production has also been granted unprecedented access to The Lee Miller Archives, including all of her photos and diaries.
The project is currently in pursuit of a director, but was recently acquired by eOne, who will finance and distribute the film. Troy Lum and Andrew Mason of Hopscotch Features produce alongside Winslet herself.
Production is expected to begin in 2018.
