Kendrick Lamar Performs Just One Song From ‘To Pimp A Butterfly’ At Sasquatch! Festival | Music News

 

2015 has been Kendrick Lamar’s year. His third album, To Pimp a Butterfly was released to universal acclaim, and has sold over 500,000 records, plus he has featured on songs by Taylor Swift, Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre (among others) this year. His appearance at Sasquatch! Festival was anticipated with significant hype but, to the confusion of many festival-goers, he only aired one song from his latest record; “Alright“.

 

While Lamar did play such hits as “Bitch, Don’t Kill My Vibe“, “Swimming Pools (Drank)” and “Backseat Freestyle“, the absence of such To Pimp a Butterfly tracks as “i“, “The Blacker the Berry” and his latest single, “King Kunta” is the source of many heads being scratched.
