L-Fresh The Lion – Get Mine | Music Video



Yesterday (October 4), Australian rapper L-Fresh The Lion premiered the new visual accompaniment to his heavily political track “Get Mine” via The Guardian. The song also features the vocals of Parvyn Kaur Singh and is inspired by the traditional musical sounds of Asia. Watch the video below.


“Get Mine” and its video criticize the racism against minority cultures in Australian society and which L-Fresh sees as trickling down from the government. L-Fresh also posted an article on his website which provides insights into the thoughts behind the track and how it links with larger global issues such as the current refugee crisis. He also brings forth evidence that he has witnessed in his own life and experiences as a Youth Empowerment Coordinator and his other work within the community sector. Read the full article here.
