Lady Gaga Banned From China After Meeting With The Dalai Lama | Music News
It seems that Lady Gaga has a bad romance with China after being officially banned from the country after a meeting with the Dalai Lama. Gaga has previously been banned from the country after her release of the track “Born This Way” in 2011 and it seems she has not made a better impression with the communist culture.
She met with the extradited Tibetan spiritual leader last weekend at the US Conference of Mayors for a discussion about kindness and the desire for compassion. The Chinese propaganda department shortly released an “important instruction” banning the mentioning of Gaga from communist party controlled news outlets and demanding her music to be removed from Chinese websites.
Looks like Lady Gaga is going to have to keep a pokerface with this one.
