Lady Gaga Discusses Mental Health Struggle In Billboard Interview | Music News
The ‘Born This Way Foundation‘, founded in 2011 by Lady Gaga and her mother, is the end product of mental struggles that Gaga has seen amongst her young fans. Not only her fans, but Gaga herself struggles with mental illness.
In a recent interview with Billboard, she explained how she “suffered through depression and anxiety my entire life, I still suffer with it every single day. I just want these kids to know that that depth that they feel as human beings is normal. We were born that way”. In the open interview, Gaga also discusses what the Foundation has done for people, how it’s affected her, what her state of mind was like when recording recent single “Til It Happens To You”, and more.
