Lady Gaga Performs ‘Till It Happens To You’ At The PGA Awards | Music News
“Til It Happens To You” was a song written by superstars Lady Gaga and Diane Warren for the soundtrack of The Hunting Ground, a documentary film from 2015 that deals with the rather intense and important issue of campus rape in the U.S.
To everyone’s pleasant surprise, it was subsequently nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Song, and just a few days ago, Lady Gaga performed it at the PGA Awards, as she was there to accept the Stanley Kramer Award for raising public awareness of important social issues.
Before she went on to play the song, Lady Gaga gave a little speech, detailing her family’s personal history with sexual assault, making the performance feel a tad bit more personal.
I also enjoy all forms of art, and I am extremely prone to ranting about social issues whenever given the chance.
