Laura Mvula – You Work For Me | New Music

Soul singer-songwriting sensation Laura Mvula is back with what sounds like an absolute classic for The Man From U.N.C.L.E. soundtrack. The whole song sounds like a massive epic experience and could quite easily be the soundtrack for a James Bond Film. The song features big-band esque sumptuous strings and a jazzy bassline, before being topped with some light and silky piano keys towards the end. The most epic element of this song though has to go to Mvula’s magnificent voice which is so powerful and precise. You can listen to “You Work For Me” below.

I am a 23 year-old musician from Luton, who graduated from De Montfort University with a 2:1 in BA Music Technology & Performance. I sing and write songs in my spare time and I am a massive music enthusiast. I listen to all kinds of different music from indie rock and folk to hip hop and deep house, but I am mainly influenced by hip hop and R&B. I have been interested in music all my life, it shaped my life from phase to phase and I cannot live without it. I try and see live music when I can and attended Reading Festival last year to see my favorite indie rock band Arctic Monkeys. My other interests include superhero and horror films, sports and binging on TV shows.
